They may not be an exotic superfood from a far off land, but that doesn't change the fact that apples - all varieties - are a moderate source of antioxidants. In order to get the most nutrition possible, eat it with the skin (preferably organic, to minimize pesticide consumption).If you are debating between this vs. granny smith vs. gala vs. Fuji... stick with the red delicious, as it has more antioxidants than the lighter-colored varieties.
