Is white wine good for you? Are there antioxidants in it? Yes, but a dismal amount versus red wines, which have up to 900% more than whites. This is because many of the antioxidants are found in the darker grapes, such as resveratrol and polyphenols. Now that's not to say there aren't any in whites, it's just pales in comparison.

Even though its ORAC rating is lower, all hope is not lost for those who prefer the lights, as a study suggested that even though they contain fewer phenolic compounds (antioxidants) the type they contain are more potent than those found in their red siblings.
