Is frozen sweet corn still good for you or is it less nutritious than fresh? When out of season - such as during the winter and spring months - this evidence suggests it makes much more sense to buy it frozen, rather than ears of corn which are imported from far away places like South America.

The reason for this is because while it's true fresh corn has more antioxidants than frozen (39% more) some of those breakdown over time, after it is harvested. In the summer when you pick up ears from a stand on the side of the road, chances are it was harvested by the farmer in the past 24 to 48 hours and therefore, remains quite nutritious. But when you're shipping corn across continents, with that amount of time this vegetable becomes less healthy for you. It's still good for you of course, but probably not much better than using frozen yellow corn.
