Is there a red Zinfandel wine? Many people are surprised to see this entry, assuming it must be a typo but it's not. Although much less common than white Zinfandel, the grapes use in the red variety thrive in warmer climates, particularly the Central and Sonoma valleys. Is it healthy for you? As is the case with red wines overall, zinfandel offers a fairly decent amount of antioxidants. That said, any healthy benefits realized will be outweighed by the adverse effects if one is consuming more than a glass or two.
