Does hibiscus tea have antioxidants? Yes and how much it contains is off the charts, literally.

Prior to measuring it, the consensus was that matcha was the most potent tea. Using the highest quality ceremonial blend of matcha prepared the traditional way yields an ORAC of around 3,100. After hibiscus was measured, that ceiling was shattered - with a value over twice as much! Anthocyanins and quercetin glucoside (quercetrin) are two major contributors to its high antioxidant activity.

Roselle tea is another name for this hibiscus flower infusion. In Mexico, the Caribbean, and everywhere south of them, it's called Flor de Jamaica. Its bright red color is as beautiful as it is tasty.
