The antioxidant value of Bacopa Powder (Standardized Extract) described in ORAC units is: 169,800 μ mol TE/100g.

Also known as brahmi, this herb has a rich history in Ayurvedic practices and today, it's arguably the most popular nootropic on the market. The sample used in this test was BacoMind, which is a branded standardized extract of B. monnieri that's used by numerous supplement companies.

How much antioxidants there are in bacopa is exponentially higher than many other purported nootropics. For perspective, the popular astragalus is 17,773 and ashwagandha is 8,497. When compared to superfoods, bacopa is over 60% higher than acai powder and 25% higher than turmeric.

It's important to remember that these numbers are all based on equal weights of each. One bacopa capsule would only represent a tiny fraction of the 100 grams (3.5 oz) reflected in its ORAC value.
