How it’s possible to have oats in a bar and call it “raw”?
Let’s examine the ingredients of “BANANA OAT DARK CHOCOLATE CHIP”. It says: “Organic Certified Gluten Free Rolled Oats”. The Whole Grain Council web site says that:
“Rolled oats (sometimes called old fashioned oats) are created when oat groats are steamed and then rolled into ﬂakes. This process stabilizes the healthy oils in the oats, so they stay fresh longer, and helps the oats cook faster, by creating a greater surface area.”
Can we have steam at a temperature lower than 118°F at atmospheric pressure? No.
Can Papa Steve someone explain it to us?

Thank you for this article and all this information! Goodness, do I agree! I’ve been purchasing from Dale’s for a few years now and I was convinced I found solid gold! I have many allergies and Dale’s raw food bars are a gift to me – I tell everyone about them, I’m a huge advocate. My husband and I have to travel internationally quite often and these keep me alive. This is not an exaggeration. I purchased another bundle in January 2019 and was devastated when I had to scramble before a big trip off ours in April only to find no response from Dale’s and no bars. Let me tell you, I had to do hours of research and shopping to find something that would work and could travel with me, there is no substitute. I am praying they start manufacturing and come back to the market soon. Unfortunately, I don’t have the privilege of getting to consume any and every paleo and/or raw bar. I so appreciated Dale’s good, quality ingredients, high protein, low sugar and variety of bases so I could get what my body needs AND their customer service (other than when they were going down…crickets).

In reply to Sofi. Drying is done at or below 118°F. If you want something closer to whole food, then Papa Steve's would be best choice for you.

How can you possibly get “raw pea protein powder!!” – it gets heat treatment in its manufacturing process, all spray driers use temperature to drive off water.

You ‘tout’ raw and then use industrial ingredients…
