Tabasco and Louisiana are not hot sauces. They are comparable to ketchup.

Thanks for your article. However, you stated foods were not spicy back in the day? Are you kidding? So, millennials are the only ones who ever had spicy foods? Tabasco brand hot sauce has been around since 1868 in Louisiana. Hot and spicy buffalo wings have been around since the 1970’s, before the millennials came around. Mexicans aren’t the only ones who have spicy foods. Korean and Indian foods are extraordinarily spicy. The first Indian (from India) restaurants in the US were established in the early 1900’s. Korean restaurants came much later. Also, there are millennials who are Latino, Indian, African-American and other ethnicities and they had grandmothers too. How could you state that millennials’ Grandmothers foods were not spicy, when there are non-white millennials who grew up eating grandma’s spicy foods? Were you only addressing just white millennials to the exclusion of non-white millennials? Or when you refer to millennials in your article are you only referring to white millennials? Why would you do that?

It’s good to know that hot sauce can help clear up my sinuses temporarily. I love spicy food, so it would be a win-win for me if I eat hot sauce when my sinusitis occurs. I’ll look for a good brand of hot sauce I could buy so I can store some in my house. Thanks a lot!

The most authentic hot sauce from Mexico is Valentina and has so little lead content it could be considered lead free. I’m tired of non Southerners thinking that hot sauce is a Mexican only thing.
