Interesting article, however, some information is very incorrect. Specifically relating to the statement that Manuka is native to New Zealand and the actual Tea Tree is native to Australia. While the word “Manuka” originates from the New Zealand Maori’s and the Kiwis were the ones to discover the many benefits of Manuka honey and market it to the world for export, the Manuka bush is a variety of Tea Tree and is native to both New Zealand and Australia. Australia has roughly 24 different species of Tree Tree, including the Manuka bush.variety. The Manuka bush is most prevelant in New Zealand, however,.it is also quite prevalent in parts of Western Australia and Tasmania. In fact, Tasmania produces some of the best Manuka honey in the world.

After working at our “flip” home…where it is an older home, with a very dusty atmosphere–I found myself all clogged up, and sneezing and blowing my nose the next morning. I decided to take my new bottle of Manuka, and put 2 drops in water in my little personal inhaler. After 2 minutes of breathing in deeply, through my nose…the sneezing stopped…my nose was clear!!! I haven’t had an issue with any congestion since I did the inhalation!! That…is an AMAZING testimony for allergy sufferers! Very potent!
